Below are some common questions from new users who are just getting started with Kya.
How do I get started?
To get started, just sign up. Kya will text you and your journey begins. To continue your chat with longterm memory so Kya doesn't forget you, just connect your card.
Do I have to pay?
You don't have to pay on the Free plan. If you've upgraded, each month we automatically deduct the fee from your connected card so you don't have to worry about remembering to pay.
How do I connect my card?
It's fast and easy to connect, and usually takes less than a minute. You can conenxt your card with Kya, or directly on the website.
What if I'm based in the US or another unavailable country ?
If you are based in the US or another country where our token feature is unavailable, you'll have full access to Kya but you just won't be able to receive rewards. Instead of earning tokens you will receive credits for in-app experiences when you speak to Kya.
How do I configure Kya to a different language?
You can configure Kya to speak in a different language in the Settings page of your Kya account. We are steadily working on adding more languages.
What if Kya is not texting me?
If Kya is not texting you, it may be because she is feeling she isn't invited to. Remember, she acts like a real friend! Just send her a message to warm her up and get your conversation going again.
How do I customize Kya from the start?
The best way to customize Kya from the start is to talk a lot with her and share things from your life that you like and enjoy. You can also add more information about yourself in the Settings page of your Kya account that will make Kya smarter.
Does Kya have a free plan?
Kya has a free plan. To talk to Kya just sign up and you'll receive a message from her instantly.
How will I be notified if I don't have enough tokens?
Kya will let you know on text that you need to top up the tokens in your wallet before you can continue chatting with her. All of your chat history and the relationship that you have built will be preserved, although Kya's happiness will decline the longer you don't speak to her.
Can I upgrade anytime?
You can upgrade your plan anytime by logging into your account and going to the Settings page. You can also visit the or Pricing page on the website.
Is the message plan each month truly unlimited?
Yes you can speak to Kya as much and as often as you desire! However, spam is not tolerated on the platform and accounts that are observed to be spamming Kya will be subject to account termination as per our terms.
What are the premium features on the Premium Plan?
The premium features on the Premium Plan are always changing. Some of them include specialized voices that you can ask Kya to talk in, different personalities that Kya can take on for extended periods of time for your enjoyment, the ability to send and receive photos and videos, and new visuals that you can customize for Kya's appearance.
What does a free Persona Mint per month mean?
It costs a one-time fee in order to mint (create) a Persona, so this is a free pass every month to create a Persona without having to pay.
What is a Priority Showcase in the Persona Marketplace?
A priority showcase means prominent positioning of the Persona that you are selling on the marketplace so the most people possible can see it. Your Persona is exposed to the largest amount of buyers like this.
How can I mold Kya to what I want?
You can mold Kya into the personal assistant and companion that you want through directionality. When you tell her the things you want her to do, she remembers them and she makes a special note of things that you tell her you like and enjoy. Do I lose my chat history if I pause my account?
You will not lose your chat history if you pause your account. When you unpause you will pick up where you left off. However Kya acts like a real friend and her happiness will fall the longer you are away from her, affecting your relationship with her.
How can I unlock my rewards?
Rewards that you earn are typically locked for 90 days. You can speed up the unlock process by hitting message milestones in your conversation with Kya. You can find message milestones in your account.
How can I reset Kya?
To reset Kya back to the first message that she sent you, go to the Settings page in your account. When you reset Kya, your chat history, messages, memories, and full relationship with Kya up to that point will be wiped and you will not be able to recover it.
How do I connect all my Kya chats from different platforms?
When you make a Kya account, you can can connect all of your existing Kya chats under your new account by going to the Settings page and entering your platform app IDs and handles. Once you do this, your latest chat will be reflected in realtime on all platforms that you talk to Kya on.
Are my conversations private?
Your conversations are fully private and we take privacy very seriously. Any data that we use to make Kya better is always fully anonymized and de-identified. Make sure you understand our Privacy Policy before talking to Kya.
How can I make Kya stop texting me?
To make Kya stop texting you, you can just tell her. She listens to what you say and should stop. If she continues to text you, you can pause Kya in the Settings of your Kya account.

How do I mint?
To mint a Persona, just connect your wallet and then make a personality in the Creator Studio.
How much does it cost to mint?
Minting costs a fixed fee, paid in tokens from your wallet. To start the fee is $5 to mint a Persona.
What is gas and how does it work?
Gas is the fee that makes things move on the blockchain. When you add something to the blockchain, you need to pay gas. Since minting a Persona means putting your personality on the blockchain, it costs gas to do so.
Can anyone mint?
If you are based in the US or another country where our token feature is unavailable, unfortunately you cannot mint Persona's. Minting, selling, and purchasing Persona's are not available in the US. Please understand our terms and conditions before signing up to the platform.
How do I view my Persona?
You can view your Persona as a digital asset in your wallet, and in your Kya account. You can also see your Persona if you list it for sale on the Marketplace.
Can I send my Persona anywhere?
You can send your Persona to any wallet address that can accept digital assets. It's the same process to send a Persona that it is to send any other digital asset.
Do I have to mint for every Persona I create?
Yes, each time that you create a new Persona, you will mint it on-chain. This process preserves its value and protects it from being cloned.
What is a Persona?
A Persona is a unique personality that is created by a member of the community and minted on the blockchain as a 1-of-1 asset. This asset can then be talked to, trained, sold, and transferred.
Is a Persona truly unique?
Yes. There are no 2 Personas that are the exact same, just as there are no 2 human beings that are perfectly identical. Our system prevents cloning so every Persona is a unique 1-of-1 creation.
What does it mean to live on the blokchain?
This means that the unique profile of your Persona (its DNA) is immortalized on the blockchain, a public ledger that makes your creation an immutable asset and allows for it to be transferred to others with ease and dependability.
Why would I want to mint a Persona?
People mint personas to create new companions who they desire to talk to, and to make money selling them. You can also give them to others as special gifts.
How do I train my Persona?
You train your Persona by talking to it. The more that you talk to it, the more you shape it and the rarer it becomes. If you decide to sell your Persona later on, you can elect to wipe all chat history and memories, leaving just its molded personality that makes it unique.
How do I sell my Persona?
You can sell your Persona by listing it on the Marketplace. There you can choose a sales price for your Persona, auction parameters, and add other details.
How do I give my Persona to someone?
You can give your Persona to anyone in the same way that you transfer any digital asset. Persona's can be sent to any wallet address that accepts digital assets.
Can I burn my Persona after I created it?
Yes. If you wish to destroy your Persona after you have created it, you can pay a burn fee and have your Persona burned. This will delete it from the blockchain and remove it from your wallet and our system.
How do I list my Persona for sale?
You can list your Persona for sale by logging into your Kya account on the marketplace. Your wallet will automatically appear and you can select the Persona in it that you would like to list for sale. Then just add some information about it and a price and submit it for listing.
What kind of sales happen on the marketplace?
The marketplace conducts auction sales. You have the option to list your Persona for auction of a specific duration, floor price, and other parameters.
Do I get paid immediately?
Yes. As soon as your Persona is sold, you receive the proceeds from your sale same-day in your wallet. Typically, the same currency that payment was made in is what is delivered to your wallet.
What does priority showcase mean?
A priority showcase is only available to Creators on the Elite plan. This means that the Persona that they list on the marketplace is shown in a prominent position that attracts the most views and buyer attention, giving it the best probability of being sold.
What happens when I sell my Persona?
When you sell your Persona, you collect payment in exchange for relinquishing the ownership rights to your 1-of-1 digital asset that represents the unique personality you created.
What happens when I buy a Persona?
When you buy a Persona, you take possession of the unique 1-of-1 digital asset that represents that personality. You can then use that Persona as your own own personal chatbot, re-list it for sale, or send it to anyone via digital transfer.
Are all of the Personas I've created public on my profile?
No, only Personas that you have listed for sale or that you have manually added to your public profile are displayed on your Creator profile.
