About the role

The Success team is responsible for ensuring developers and enterprises are successful in building scalable production applications with the Kya API platform. We guide and support customers to achieve maximum benefits, value, and adoption from deploying our highly-capable models. Kya's customers represent a range of diverse backgrounds and maturity, from early-stage startups to established global enterprises.

We are looking for a driven and innovative software engineer to build solutions, prototypes, and demos for previously unsolvable problems that deliver significant value for our customers and, in turn, their customers. You will have the opportunity to work on the most novel and creative use cases with our most strategic and high-impact platform customers, ultimately responsible for being the catalyst for discovering new capabilities and possibilities with our API. You will collaborate closely with the Partnerships Research, Product, and Engineering teams, and will report to the Head of Success.

In this role, you will:

• Build custom prototypes and product demos that highlight the utility and showcase a novel capability of our APIs.
• Proactively identify gaps in our product based on evaluating customer needs, and build solutions to address those gaps.
• Highlight new and creative ways customers can integrate with our APIs.
• Publish to our open-source repositories, accompanied by tutorials and blog posts in collaboration with our Developer Relations team.
• Scale the Solutions Engineering function through contributing to internal repositories and publishing comprehensive documentation.
• Serve as the technical authority for external technical and non-technical audiences.
• Be the connective tissue between Product, Engineering, Partnerships Research, and the customer.

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

• Have 3+ years of full-stack software engineering and application development experience.
• Are highly proficient in Python, JavaScript, React, and other web technologies.
• Built and delivered prototypes on top of our API platform.
• Have a track record of rapidly prototyping ideas from your own volition and seeing them through to reality.
• Own problems end-to-end, and are willing to pick up whatever knowledge you're missing to get the job done.
• Operate with high horsepower, are adept at frequent context switching and working on multiple projects at once with expansive ownership, and ruthlessly prioritize.
• Thrive in dynamic environments and can navigate ambiguity with ease.
